How To Create an Organization in vMenu
Creating an Entity Navigate to https://vmenu-test.embeddigital.com/brand/brandEntities Click the Floating Action Button (FAB) Click "Add Entity" to create a new Entity. An Entity is the second highest level in your company's organization. Entities contain Locations, which contain Devices, which is where your published Pages will be displayed. One example of how you might use Entities is if you want to have unique item selections and pricing in different regions, or if you have multiple franchises it's a way to separate each franchise's Locations from each other and allow them to manage their own menus and devices without the risk of one franchisee accidentally impacting another's operations. Enter a name for your Entity. All other fields are optional but useful to fill out because the text you enter becomes searchable after any object is created. Brand, Entity, Location, User, Item, etc. are all "objects" that exist within vMenu's database and can be searched for on each relevant tab within the platform. Click "Save" when you have finished entering in the information for your Entity. Adding a Location Click the Entity you just created to select it. Click "Add Location" on the FAB. In vMenu a Location is the lowest level of your Organization, and each Location represents a physical place where Devices are installed. You might think of a Location as a singular store, restaurant, or food truck. It's necessary that this matches the actual organization of your company and its multiple physical locations so content control like pricing or availability and POS integration function correctly. Enter a name for your Location. Be sure to set the timezone correctly as this will affect how content is scheduled to devices at this location later. Click "Save" You can add multiple Locations, there is no limit. Click any of the Locations you created to select it. Adding Devices Click "Add Device" in the FAB. Enter a name for your Device. Since Devices are either displays or player boxes connected to displays we recommend giving it a name that describes where it is physically in the Location, like "Drive-Through Left" or "Marketing Board - Patio". Click the Orientation dropdown to select an Orientation for your Device. This selection must match the physical Orientation of your installed Display - the screen itself, not necessarily just the Device if it's a player box - in order for your Pages to display correctly. Click "Landscape" for screens in the normal TV widescreen orientation, or "Portrait" for screens oriented vertically. Click "Save" to finish creating the Device.

Creating a Daily Schedule in vMenu
Navigate to https://vmenu.embeddigital.com/brands Select your Brand to continue. Click "Schedules" in the navigation panel. Click on the FAB (Floating Action Button) to open it. Click "Edit" in the FAB. Click and drag Pages on to the schedule grid. Once a Page is on the grid you can click it to edit properties. You can change duration, start/end times, how often it repeats, and whether or not it will expire. For this example we chose "Daily" in the dropdown, clicked the "Does Not Expire" button, and changed the end time to 12:00 so you can see what it does. You can choose whatever settings you like for your schedule. Click "Save" Once you're happy with the schedule click the X to exit the Schedule editor. Click "Assign" in the FAB while the schedule you created is selected. Select a display to assign this schedule to it Click "Save" Click "Publish" in the FAB Click "Save" once you have confirmed your publishing settings are correct.
